Mirjam is the Manager of Customer Service at Biomerics LLC, overseeing order processing and customer interaction. She acts as a liaison between customers and Biomerics’ production department, making sure that the lines of communication remain open. Since 1994 she has held key customer service positions within the medical industry, including experience at both Kimberly Clark/Ballard Medical and Wolfe Tory Medical. Mirjam strives to build trust and strong long term relationships with Biomerics’ customers.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Mike leads the sales and business development efforts at Biomerics LLC. With over 17 years in the plastic industry, Mike’s career has been focused on medical device manufacturing, assembly, and fulfillment. He has worked with nearly every type of medical company, from large corporations to start-ups. Mike has a BS degree in Marketing from The University of Utah. His experience and education has made him exceptional at new business development, program and project management, and developing and maintaining customer relationships. Mike works with BioUtah (bioutah.org) on membership development and enrollment. He also works as the Sales Manager for Biomerics’ sister company Biosonix (www.bio-sonix.com).

Doug Wahnschaffe currently serves as the Biomerics Advanced Catheter VP of Engineering and was the director of R&D at Access Point Technologies before it merged with Biomerics. Doug has over 25 years of experience in medical device design and manufacturing. Prior to joining APT he served as Director of R&D for Gyrus ACMI (an Olympus Company). Doug has a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. Doug is named on over 15 issued and pending patents.

Jake oversees all aspects of the quality and regulatory systems and process at Biomerics, LLC. Jake has over 13 years of process and quality engineering, operations management, and quality management experience across electronics and medical device manufacturing. He has held key positions at Compeq International, BD Medical, and Edwards Lifesciences. Jake graduated from BYU with a BS in Chemical Engineering and earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Utah. He is a subject matter expert in various disciplines including risk assessment, root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, and process improvement. He has developed and taught courses in measurement system analysis, sampling plans, and validation statistics. He is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Craig has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. Steve is the President of Biomerics Advanced Catheter, with over 28 years of experience in the medical device industry. He started his career in 1985 at AngioMedics, where he developed a thorough understanding of devices utilizing balloons, stents, and delivery systems for percutaneous access and treatment of diseased vessels. After AngioMedics, Steve moved to Everest Medical, the first company in the US to primarily focus on developing Bipolar Electro-Surgical devices for minimally invasive surgeries using Bipolar RF energy. Steve is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Physiology. Over the last 20 years Steve has founded 5 medical device based companies in the US, Asia, and Europe. These companies have brought many new devices and technologies to the medical field. He is the holder of numerous patents in the medical field and is always seeking to help create new devices and technologies used for the advancement of medicine throughout the world.
