Vascular Access Catheters

Vascular access catheters are typically flexible tubes placed in veins for patients requiring frequent access to the bloodstream or areas of the cardiovascular system. These devices are generally inserted into one of the large veins of the chest, neck, arm, or groin and are used for drug delivery, pressure monitoring, nutrition, dialysis, frequent blood drawing, fluid monitoring, plasmapheresis, and rapid hydration.

Vascular access catheters are usually implanted for long-term perfusion or apheresis. Due to the demanding biocompatibility requirements of these Class II and Class III devices, the materials used must be optimized and safe. Our Quadrathane™ and Quadraflex™ engineered extrusions exceed the required mechanical properties, oxidative stability, biocompatibility, chemical resistance, and body softening required for these demanding applications. We manufacture vascular access catheters in various configurations (size, length, and lumens) and materials to cover the wide range of use applications including:

  • Central Venous Catheters (CVC)
  • Short Peripheral Inserted Catheters (PIC)
  • Midline Catheters (MC)
  • Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)
  • Ports
  • Dialysis Catheters
  • Placement Devices
  • Introducers
  • Dilators
  • Tunnelers and Trocars
  • Guide wires and Needles
  • Connectors
