High Performance Polymers

High performance polymers are defined by a small class of high temperature and chemically resistant polymers. Typical medical uses include long-term implantation and catheter applications where superior lubricity or chemical resistance is required. Biomerics has the high temperature compounding capabilities to produce these materials in small medical compounding runs.

Biomerics can custom compound a wide variety of high performance polymers, including:

  • FEP – Fluorinatedethylenepropylene
  • PFA – Perfluoroalkoxy
  • PVDF – Polyvinylidene Flouride
  • ETFE – Ethylenetetrafluoroetylene
  • ECTFE – Chlorotrifluoroethylene
  • Semi-Crystalline Thermoplastic Polymers
  • PEEK – Polyetheretherketone
  • PPS – Polyphenyle Sulfide
  • LCP – Liquid Crystal Polymer
  • PBT – Polybutylene Terephthalate
  • PET – Polyethylene Terephthalate
  • POM – Acetal
  • Amorphous Thermoplastic Polymers
  • PPSU p Polyphenylsulfone
  • PESU/PSU – Polysulfone
  • PEI – Polyetherimide
  • PAI – Polyamide-imide
